I had the pleasure if knowing Gretchen through LGH where I was her nurse many times. We formed a friendship that I held dear to my heart. Heaven now has another angel.

I will always remember the many times Gretchen took my messages or helped me contact my husband who worked for the IU13 (but whose cell phone always seemed to be blocked by the school buildings). She was always kind, graceful and helpful. Although I never got to meet her in person, for many years we spoke by phone. She was encouraging and supportive when we faced our own family’s battle with cancer. Keeping you all in thought and prayer at this difficult time. Diane Hoover

It seems like just yesterday that Gretchen joined the Speech and Language Program staff. How quickly 20 plus years have passed. it was a privilege to work with her. I counted on Gretchen in so many ways. I cherish the many happy moments we shared. With a quiet grace Gretchen fought a courageous battle. It is with heart-felt sorrow I extend my deepest sympathies to Gretchen’s much loved husband, children and grand children.

I worked with Gretchen at IU13 as well for the past 13 years and she will be missed. What a giving woman for all that she has gone through and always had a smile. I am so sorry for your loss but like it says, “She is with the angels now”
