My sincere sympathy to you upon the passing of dear Gladys.  I had the opportunity to work with her and get to know her when she brought her School-To-Work students to IU13 at Burle to help assemble Organ and Tissue Donation Awareness items.

She was a sweet and loving soul who now rests with her Lord.  May His peace surround each of you, and may you enjoy wonderful memories.

Sincerely,

When I saw Gladys’obituary in the paper, I was overcome by disbelief and such sadness. I have known Gladys for many years as I too was a Job Trainer for the IU13 for many years as well. Gladys exuded "sunshine" to everyone she worked with, whether adults or students. She had a gentle sense of humor; she was approachable, kind, sincere, dedicated, and "there" for those who needed a friend or support when a co-worker was having personal or professional dificulties. Such was the case with me. I was forced to leave my position with the IU, and this devestated me. And there was Gladys. While I was forgotten by many,Gladys, when we saw each other, always greeted me with a hug. We always had nice conversations, and her treatment of me never faltered. She made a difference in my life and to everyone blessed by her inner and outer beauty. Although she left her "earthly" life sooner then anyone would have wanted her to, her impact will be felt forever…until we meet again. With the sincerest of condolences, Diane Quilliam-Powell
