George B. Bisignano, 98

George B. Bisignano, 98, of Willow Valley Retirement Community, Lancaster, PA, and formerly of Marlton, NJ, died Friday, September 30, 2016 at The Glen at Willow Valley. Born in Oak Creek, CO, he was the son of the late Peter and Stella Caruso Bisignano. George’s wife of 69 years, Anne Buccialia Bisignano, died in 2013.

He served in the Philippines and New Guinea as a Captain in the US Army during WWII. Later in life, George graduated from Trenton State College, and then taught industrial arts for 10 years at Shawnee High School in Medford, NJ. He was a member of St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church in Lancaster, PA. George had been an avid gardener.

George is survived by his daughter, Sandra Lee, wife of Robert Beach, Spokane, WA, and his son Gerald G. Bisignano, husband of Sally, Tabernacle, NJ; three grandchildren, Callie A. Beach, Michael J. Bisignano and Stacy L. Bisignano; and three siblings, Albert Bisignano, Molly Sergi and Marie Rowell. He was preceded in death by three siblings, Elmer and William Bisignano and Mary Beck.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place 11:30 AM Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church, 211 Millersville Pike, Lancaster, PA 17603. A Visitation will take place 10:30 to 11:30 AM on Wednesday at the church. Interment with Military Honors in Willow Street U.C.C. Cemetery. Please omit flowers.
