I need to express my deepest sympathy to your Mom, Elva and to you two, Gina and Sue. Your dad was such a great guy! I would run into him at so many places and he would still remember me from when Sue and I used to pal around and we would go to school with Rita and Vicki. What a character he was. I hope that you all find peace with his passing, I know it is hard but he is with Jesus now.

FRANK WAS A GOOD GUY GLAD I KNEW HIM ALWALYS LOOKED TO SEE HIM AND HIS WIFE AT RODNEY PARK CHRISTMAS PARTY WILL MISS YOU YOUR FRIEND ARTHUR DETZ

February 28, 2014

Frank was my brother’s father-in-law.  Maybe that made him an outlaw, but he sure was fun to talk to at all the family gatherings!  He and my dad would always swap World War II stories, especially since they both served in the navy.  Frank and my husband, Ray, always shared Coal Region or “Coal Cracker” stories.  Both Frank and Ray hail from Shamokin, PA.  Frank will always remain fondly in the Overly Clan memories.  He will be missed at those talks, around the kitchen table, during Easter and Thanksgiving!  Yet every time we look at our nephew, Ry, we’ll think of Frank and smile.  Ry you really are built like your granddad…very tall and handsome!  That’s something to be proud of!

I will miss Frank’s presence at our Bridge club on Fridays.  He was a good player and didn’t hesitate to share his knowledge of Bridge with those of us who were less knowledgeable. He always had a cheerful and pleasant attitude and loved to tell us some stories of his past life.  I speak for all members when I say, we will miss Frank     Peggylou

Uncle Frank was such a good guy.  He loved the family and took an interest in all of us.  He was so interesting to talk to.  I learned more from Uncle Frank about my mother and their life growing up than I did from mom.  He was intelligent and well spoken and I enjoyed all the stories he would tell.  I always looked forward to seeing him at the reunions.  I loved him dearly.  He is now in heaven with his other brothers and sisters that he loved so much.    Charlotte

When I came into the family 26 years ago, I had a hard time keeping track of who was who. Such a wonderfull, big family! But Uncle Frank stood out (maybe he was the tallest?). He was always so friendly and good natured, and I know this branch of the family will miss him, too. A joyful heart is good medicine, indeed.

Frank helped put the Great in the “Greatest Generation”. He and his siblings served honorably in the military
My uncle was the family historian and a genial man. He loved to tell stories and laugh. I admired my Uncle, he helped to show me how to act as a young man. Frank gave me a flask on graduating college, saying Everyman needs one. It is one of my most prized possessions.
He had a good and long life, Rest in Peace Frank

Uncle Frank – you will be missed.  Uncle Frank was a true Gentlemen.  I remember the Christmas Eve parties, camping, reunions where he provided the lunch prayer.  Always a smile on his face.  Even holding my surprise bridal party at your place.  The conversations and stories were the best.  Gina, Sue and Aunt Elva – may the memories be bountiful and wonderful to help you through this time of sorrow.  Uncle Frank is with God now.  Love you Uncle Frank

Uncle Frank was such a vibrant and cheerful person.  We always had such great conversations. I have such wonderful memories of him – camping, visiting the Lancaster crowd, his visits to Levittown, family parties. My only consolation is  knowing who he is with now. I can hear his siblings saying “Frank, what took you so long?”  I don’t know if there is a “Rock n Roll” heaven but I do know they are all playing pinochle now!  I will miss him.  Barbara
