Floyd H. Wynn, 80
Floyd H. Wynn, 80, who resided at 1348 Country Club Drive, Lancaster, with his daughter, Teresa Ruhl and granddaughter, Gina Marie, died at home on Sunday, September 17, 2006.
Born in Narvon, PA, Floyd was the son of the late Walter and Mona (Hyman) Wynn, and the husband of the late Helen Y. (Lamonica) Wynn, who died May 5, 1995.
He was employed as a machine operator at Specialty Screw Machine Products, retiring in 1991. Affectionately known as “Pappy” to everyone, Floyd loved the outdoors, fishing and hunting. He enjoyed traveling and antiquing, and was an avid Philadelphia sports fan and NASCAR enthusiast.
Floyd was a member of St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church. He was a veteran of World War II, and a Technician 5th Grade in the U.S. Army. His tour of duty included the European Theatre of operations.
Surviving is a daughter, Teresa M. (Spadea), wife of Richard K. Ruhl Sr. of Lancaster; three sons: John L., husband of Susan Spadea of San Diego, CA; Vincent L., husband of Lynnette Spadea of Lancaster, and Dominic M. Spadea of Lancaster; 12 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren; a brother, Virgil, husband of Shelly Wynn of Ephrata; and a sister, Mildred, wife of Norman Resch of Stillwater, OK. He is also survived by nieces and nephews. Floyd was preceded in death by a daughter, Teri Wynn; 2 brothers, Russell and Ronald Wynn; and one sister, Edith Northeimer.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church, 2111 Millersville Pike, Lancaster, PA on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be at St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery. Viewing times will be Tuesday evening from 7-9 p.m. at the Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home and Chapel, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA, and again on Wednesday morning at St. Philip Catholic Church from 10:00-10:30 a.m. Flowers will be received or memorial may be sent to Hospice of Lancaster County, P.O.
