Ernestine P. “Tina” Floyd, 75

Ernestine P. “Tina” Floyd, 75, of New Providence, passed away Tuesday, September 13, 2016, at Lancaster General Hospital, following a lengthy illness. Born in Brickerville, she was the daughter of the late Elwood L. and Ruth Pauline (Gerlach) Boehler. Ernestine was the loving and caring wife of James A. Floyd, Jr.
Ernestine was a homemaker, but had worked for Exide Corp. in years past. Ernestine enjoyed staying at home and spending time with her entire family, who she loved greatly. She loved football and was a diehard Steelers fan. She also enjoyed gardening and spending time shopping.
In addition to her husband, James, she is survived by her six children: Russell Drennen, partner of Deanna Wagner, of Pequea; Kim Dyer, of Lantana, FL; James Floyd, III, partner of Kate Thompson, of New Providence; Ruth Floyd, of Columbia; Christine Reardon, wife of Jamie, of Lancaster; and Brad Floyd, husband of Joanne, of Lancaster; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She is also survived by siblings: Mary Ann Anthony, wife of James; Barbara Smith, wife of Edward; Carol Fink, wife of Vance; and Mike Boehler, husband of Eileen; her mother-in-law, Anna Mary Floyd; and a host of nieces and nephews. Ernestine was preceded in death by her brother, Elwood Boehler, son-in-law, Duane Dyer; and father-in-law, James A. Floyd, Sr.
Memorial Services for Ernestine will be held at 7PM, Monday, September 19, 2016, at Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 414 E. King St., Lancaster, PA 17602. Friends will be received at the funeral home for visitation from 6-7PM, with the service to follow. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Ernestine’s name may be made to the American Lung Association at http://www.lung.org/get-involved/ways-to-give/ or ORCA, 401 E Orange St., Lancaster, PA 17602.

A friend of the family for 42 years.
 Tina was a special soul, nurturing mother, grandmother, great grandmother, & great friend. 
The great memories in Upper Sandusky, Ohio as well as the menories in Pequea, Pa. ( Mt Nebo) will always be treasured.
