Emaline G. Whenry, 94
Emaline G. Whenry, 94, of Leola, died Saturday, June 16, 2012, at Fairmount Homes Retirement Community. Born in Chester County, she was the daughter of the late Jerry and Mayme Fisher Boyd. Her husband of 49 years Robert R. Whenry, Sr. died in 1986.
A graduate of the former Drumore High School, Class of 1934, she worked as an assembler for Schick for 23 years. Emaline was a member of Oregon Community United Methodist Church. She enjoyed trips to the beach and mountains.
Emaline is survived by 4 children, Patricia J., wife of Robert Dietz of Akron, Robert R. Whenry, Jr., of Stevens, Kay E., wife of Lawrence Dorsey of Milroy and Douglas L., husband of Joyce Whenry of New Holland, 9 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, a great great-grandson, and her companion Reuben Oldweiler of Leola. She was preceded in death by all of her siblings and her granddaughter LuAnn Miller.
Private Graveside Services will be held at Conestoga Memorial Park. So sorry about Nan. Even though she was not my Grandmother through blood, she always made me feel as though she was my grandmother. She reminded me so much of my own Nan. She will be deeply missed and loved.
