Roger and family,

I was a student of Bettys at Edward Hand Jr High and also continued to see Betty throughout her medical care including her last days. She will be greatly missed!

God Bless Kelly Fritsch

We rejoice in knowing and loving Betty!  She was an inspiration – a true and devoted woman – a testimony to God’s love.  I (Judith) met Betty just 3 years ago on a bus to the Flower show and she was as warm and loving as ever I remembered her.  Our profound condolences to your family….we know it is a great loss but Betty will shine in your hearts!

Love from Les, Jo and Sonia Hurley Carlisle, Pa

Please accept my sincere sympathies. Betty was like a mother to me for a time when my family and I attended Westminster Church. She was so sweet and gentle and kind. I admired her sense of humor and good nature. I will miss her lovely spirit. My prayers and thoughts are with you, Roger, and with the children I met at the family visitation. Thank you for your kindness as well. You are a beautiful family. God bless you all.

–Deb Strubel

We send you and your family our deepest sympathy in the passing of your wife, but pray that you find comfort in knowing that she is with the Lord. We will miss seeing her in that front row at Westminster, she always had a beautiful warm smile.

Roger and family, please know our thoughts and prayers are with each of you, especially today. As fellow alumni of the University of Alabama, Rick and I had the privilege from time to time of calling you and Betty. I saw this in the paper, and what a lovely obituary for Betty. How interesting that Betty was born in Carbon Hill. My mother was born in Carbon Hill in 1924.

May God bring you the peace and comfort in knowing that Betty is with her Maker and in the arms of Christ. Psalm 121.

In His Grace and Love,
Becky Wetzel

Roger and family,
We do share in your sorrow over the loss of your devoted wife, mother, grandmother.  I remember you and your family with fondness.  Your family was a real part of our lives for many years. Dear Betty was always such a joy for me to talk to when I was very young and starting a family.  She was such an encouragement to me.
She has finished her journey here on earth and is home with her Lord, so that brings joy in the midst of sorrow.
May God be with each of you and bring the comfort that He only can give at this time.

In Christian love,
Patsy Swart (Reisinger)

Roger, we are remembering you in our prayers, grieving in your loss yet rejoicing in Betty’s homecoming to her Savior.

Dear Roger and family,
I worked with Betty at Edward Hand. I am so sorry to hear she has passed on. She was a great friend and I learned much about teaching from her as we shared the ride to and from school each day. I know she loved you all very much and had a strong faith in God. I often thought about her and wondered how she was doing. I lost track of her after they moved from their home. She was truly a beautiful woman in all respects. God bless all of you and help you through this difficult time.

Ach Auf! I heard of Betty’s passing during Troy’s sermon at New City on Sunday! When you moved into your house on Robindale she kept saying to me, "I’m not going to last much longer." It made me chuckle inside because we never know. I know my Sam was young enough for me to be bossng him around and that’s been quite a while ago! Friendship with Betty was an easy thing for me to slip into. I can’t think of anything better to say about somebody. I don’t know why we cry when someone goes to be with Jesus, but I’ve been letting a few tears loose! May you and your family know Jesus’ comfort and peace.

Love from the DiBernardos
