Edward M. Fritz, 95

Edward M. Fritz, 95, of Maple Farm Nursing Home died Thursday evening at his residence.

He was a Tool and Die Maker for J. L. Clark for 5 years until retiring in 1976.  Previously, he worked at Schick Inc., R.C.A., and Hamilton Watch.  He was a member of the Green Hills Sportsmens Assoc. and St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church.  He enjoyed playing golf.

Born in Lancaster he was the son of the late Frank X. and Magdelena Bower Fritz.  He was married to M. Janet Kegel Fritz who died in 1977 and later to Mabel E. Fox Fritz who died in 1984.

Surviving are two sons; Edward F. Fritz of Quarryville; Robert A. married to Alberta Fritz of Lancaster; one daughter; Elizabeth A. Moore of Wisconsin; two grandchildren; two great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one brother; Joseph Fritz and four sisters, Teresa Stockbauer, Katherine Shank, Mary Fritz, Annie Boas.

A memorial mass will be held at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 501 E. Orange St., Lancaster on Monday at 12:00noon.  A calling time will be held at the church from 11:00am until time of mass.  Interment in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Edward’s memory to a charity of one’s choice.
