Edna M. “Eddie” Kempf, 85

Edna M. “Eddie” Kempf, 85, of Lancaster died Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at Hamilton Arms. She was the wife of the late Roy F. Kempf who died in 1986.
Born on March 23, 1929 and raised on the family farm in Marticville, PA she was a daughter of the late Charles E. and Lillie Maude (Groff) Henry. Edna retired after 25 years of service with Slaymaker Lock Company as a supervisor. She loved fishing and vacationing to Rehobeth Beach, DE and Vieques, PR. Edna was an accomplished pianist and organist and enjoyed playing the guitar and mandolin as well. Edna recently became a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Lancaster.
She is survived by her family members, Sylvia M. Long of Conestoga, PA, K. Scott Chambers of Lancaster, PA, John Chambers and Sherrie Sones of Berks Co., PA, her loving agitator Joe Gallo of Lancaster, PA, Judy Gaul of Virginia and Linda Frank of Lititz, PA; Robert Henry, Jay Henry, Thelma Rankin, Eunice Byers, and Paul Henry; eight grandchildren, five great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. Edna was preceded in death by two sisters Esta and Elsie and a brother Bill Henry.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 16, 2015 from 10AM until the time of the 11AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 501 E. Orange St. Lancaster, PA. Interment will be held in Willow Street Mennonite Cemetery, Willow Street, PA.
