Edith W. Roth, 95

Edith W. Roth, 95, of Willow Valley Square, passed away Saturday, June 11, 2016 at The Glen at Willow Valley. Born in Emmorton, MD she was the daughter of the late James A. and Frances (Settle) Walls. She was the beloved wife of the late Frank J. Roth who passed away in 2003.
She was a homemaker for most of her life devoting herself to raising her family.
Edith was a longtime member of Calvary Baptist Church in Newark, DE, and attended Grace Church of Willow Valley. She was an avid bridge player, reader, crocheter and could work magic with a needle, whether it was sewing, quilting, cross stitch, or other needlework.
She is survived by two sons, James N. Roth, married to Margaret Pierce of Doylestown, and John T. “Terry” Roth of Middletown, DE; a daughter, Mary E. “Betty”, married to Robert C. Wickham of Round Rock, TX; eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Ralph Walls of Bel Air, MD, and Russell Walls of Huntsville, AL. She was preceded in death by her sister, Evelyn Pardew.
A Viewing will be held from 8:30AM-9:30AM on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 followed by a Funeral Service at 9:30AM at Grace Church of Willow Valley, 300 Willow Valley Square, Lancaster, PA 17602. Edith will be laid to rest beside her husband, Frank, at All Saints Cemetery, Wilmington, DE. In lieu of flowers contributions in Edith’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Greater PA Chapter, 2595 Interstate Dr, Suite 100, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
