To our cousins in Pennsylvania, your families and the children and grndchildren of Donnie Eves, Jr.  I am your cousin Eileen Sawyer Matthews in Southern California.  My mother was Helen Eves your Aunt.  I have not yet had time to let my sisters know of Donnie’s passing.  I remember him as very quiet, kind and thoughtful.  My brother Jay also wrote of Don in his diary when they hung out together when Jay and my mother last visited Penna. in the late 1990’s.  I have that Diary in my posession.
Please know that we are truly saddened for your loss and praying that his God will now unite him with those he loved who have gone before him.  God bless all of you and may you find peace knowing your brother, father, grandfather is free of pain and suffering.  God’s blessings to each of you and your families.  Affectionately, Eileen
