For a second you were flying
Like you always wanted to
Now you’ll fly forever
In skies of azure blue
We’ll see your smile in every ray
Of sunshine after rain
And hear the echo of your laughter
Over all the pain
The world’s a little quieter now
The colours have lost their hue
The birds are singing softly
And our hearts are missing you
Each time we see a little cloud
Or a rainbow soaring high
We’ll think of you and gently
Wipe a tear from our eye

Please accept my heartfelt sympathy on the passing of your mother.

What moves through us is a silence, a quiet sadness, a longing for one more day, one more word, one more touch, we may not understand why you left this earth so soon, or why you left before we were ready to say good-bye, but little by little, we begin to remember not just that you died, but that you lived. And that your life gave us memories too beautiful to forget.

God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be. So He put His arms around you and whispered "come to me." With tearful eyes we watched you, and saw you pass away. Although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hardworking hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best.

I would like to offer my condolences to Dolly’s entire family on there recent loss.  Dolly was a very kind person.  I was lucky enough to be a school classmate of hers.

Sincerely,
James K. Drennen and family.

Greetings to Dolly’s Family….        Wednesday, 4/27/2011

I was glad to have had the opportunity to meet some of you (daughters) at today’s viewing/visitation at the Snyder Funeral Home.

Even though a lot of years have passed. we fondly remember Dolly as being pleasant and also singing in the McCaskey Glee Club during her Sophomore and Junior years (Fall-1959-Spring-1961).

You may or may not recall that she was a (I assume, Spring of 1959) graduate of Edward Hand Junior High School, on Lancaster’s South Ann Street.  At McCaskey she was in room #133 with Homeroom Teacher John Shenk.

Again, in behalf of the McCaskey High School Class of 1962 (Dolly’s original class – "Once a Classmate – Always One of Us", we offer our sincere condolences to your entire Family.

Sincerely,

Larry (Lawrence G.) Bowman
Class Agent & Alumni Association Advisory Board Member
