Daniel was always a pleasure to have visit at our house back in middle school when he and Brian were good friends.  He was a wonderful kid who grew up into a wonderful young man.  I will always remember him as a kind and gentle soul. Please find comfort in knowing that Daniel touched so many lives and will remain forever in our hearts.

Sincerely,
The Alpers (Concetta, Bill, Will and Brian)

Our sincere sympathy on the tragic loss of your son Daniel.
We did not know him personally but we know Galen and Karla, and what a nice family they are.  We wish you peace and comfort in your memories.

Mary Anne & Chuck Mikulka (former owners of Landisville Flower Shop)

Daniel’s friends from Central Penn College are holding your family in our thoughts and prayers.  I recall conducting a mock interview with Daniel a few years ago and asking him what the Brady Fund was because he had it listed on his resume.  He spoke with great pride about his brother and the family’s efforts to establish and grow that fund.

On Saturday, there is an Alumni Association picnic at Knoebel’s Grove.  We will be remembering Daniel at that gathering and will lift your family up in our prayers.

Our deepest sympathies to your entire family. We know that Dan must have been a wonderful man for our Callie to have cared so much about him.  She waited for just the right man to come into her life.  We are sure that we would have welcomed him with our hearts into our family.

Dear Logsdon Family,

I just found out about the passing of Daniel. I know there is nothing that anyone can say or do that will ease your pain at his loss.  You are all in my thoughts and prayers as you try to make sense of what has happened.

Sincerely,

To the Logsdon Family
We are all so saddened by the new of your son Daniel.  He will be greatly missed here at our home.  We especially enjoyed making dinner for the boys when they would all get together for a football game or movie and Dan would always say… "Thanks it was good, but my mom’s is still better"  We will miss his joking friendly personality.  Hurting deeply for you all.

Jim & Diana Smith & family  (David Kinsey’s Mom & Stepdad)

Dear Galen and family,

I am so saddened by the loss of your Daniel.  When my son Ben called to tell me the sad news, memories of several winters playing indoor soccer at Red Rose came rushing back. I helped you coach for one winter session.  Daniel was such a positive boy and a pleasure to be with.  We didn’t have a very good team and sometimes we certainly took a bad licking, but Daniel was always upbeat, enthusiastic and willing to get into the game and play his hardest.  I can distinctly remember turning to him one time on the sideline and saying, "Daniel, we really need someone to go out there and stop that guy! Can you do it?!"  Even though we were probably already down by 10 goals, he rushed out onto the field and put everything he had into the game and he DID stop that guy.

I did not get to keep in touch with Daniel as he grew older, but I know that the fine boy who was so polite, pleasant, determined and enthusiastic certainly was a great young man too.  Daniel was a blessing.  My prayers and thoughts are for you and your family.

Sincerely,
Rod Myers

Dear Logsdon Family,

I’m truly sorry that you’ve lost you’re son. How horribly wrong it is to lose your baby. I’m so sorry and I wish there were words to express how deeply sorry I am for your family at this horrble time.

I remember Daniel as a talkative and very vibrant child. I truly hope you know that a lot of people love and care.

I met Dan several times in the past year working on freelance video shoots / commercials. What a great guy, and a hard worker with a passion for the industry. I was saddened to learn of his passing this morning. My condolences to his family and friends. He will be missed in the film / video community.
Best,

Such a tragic loss of a fine young man! We will always remember Dan as a soft spoken fun loving guy. He was always a great team player in soccer.  He played soccer with both our sons and was always smiling. The entire family is in our thought and prayers.

Hello,

My husband and I were at the beach on Sunday. We were too far away to know anything was going on until the rescue vehicles started showing up. We are so very sorry for your tragic loss. I have thought of him and you everyday this week, and I wish there were words that could bring you comfort. He was far too young but I know his memory will live strong in your hearts for years to come.

Sincerely,
Amy and RJ Pales

Please accept my sincere condolences at the passing of Daniel.  Occasionally I worked with him on the iMag crew at LCBC and he was always so pleasant with everyone.  He will be greatly missed.

Dan was such a very kind and gentle soul.

My memories of him are those of Elementary, Middle and High School age.

The years have passed and our two Dans have grown closer together, forming a true friendship that I have always been so thankful for. Dan has touched each of us in a very special way.  I’ll always remember the tilt of his head and the smile on his face. I am forever grateful for the kindness in his heart and the love & loyalty always shown to his friends.

We are so sorry & saddened by this very tragic loss. Your family will continue to be in my prayers.

Rick & Brenda (Lahr) Risner

Galen, Karla, Chod, Karisa and Brady:

We don’t even have the words to express how sorry we are about the loss of Daniel.  He was such an adorable little boy, and grew up to be a sweet, gentle man.  He had a quiet, gentle way about him that made you see right away that he was a truly good person.  We will remember him fondly, from the times that our families got together for cookouts or went out to dinner, to the times we would see him at LCBC.  Christopher remembers all the times that Daniel would kick the soccer ball with him, back and forth over the fence.  You guys will be in our thoughts and prayers for the difficult times ahead.  Please know that we are here to help you through it, in any way we can.

Love,
Allen, LuAnn, Chris and Lindsay

Daniel was a very special student in my first grade.  He was a hard worker who was always very kind and helpful to his peers.  Although I have lost touch with him over the years, I will remember what a delightful child he was.  My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Sincerely,
Mrs. Sandy Rothfus  (LPC)

We want to offer our sincere condolences for the tragic loss of your son Daniel. Although we never had the pleasure of meeting him, it sounds like he was a wonderful young man. Your family and our niece Callie will be in our thoughts and prayers.

Tim and Tina Moran

My deepest condolences. Dan was a stellar individual, someone who I enjoyed having class with, was privileged to play soccer with and honored to know. His laugh always rung in my mind and was one of the lasting impressions that have remained with me and now will remain in my heart because he was a special guy! May His Memory Be Eternal and Everlasting and His Soul Rest Among the Saints!

I met your son at college & we became good friends even though I was an older student. He helped me so much with adjusting to going back to school & became a friend of my family. He was a great person & we kept in touch & visited even after graduation. I hadn’t heard back from him in a while & just found out about his passing through college.

I will miss him greatly but wanted to let his family know that he touched my life as well as that of my husband & daughter in a positive way and always kept me laughing. He was a wonderful person.

With Greatest Sympathy,
Lori Sheaffer
