Charles McMullen, 69

Charles McMullen, 69, of Lancaster, passed away on June 11, 2016 at Ephrata Community Hospital. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late James & Ruth McMullen. Charles was the husband of 39 years to Linda (Farkas) McMullen.
A Vietnam veteran, he served in the US Navy. Charles retired from Tursack, Inc., and was a former Philadelphia Police Officer from 1970-79. He was a longtime little league coach for Conestoga Valley. He was a great artist especially with sketches & drawing. He was known for his comedy & strong sense of humor. Charles considered his children his biggest accomplishment.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Linda, are his children: Samantha L. McMullen, partner of Matthew Hershey, & Joshua L. McMullen, husband of Emily. He was the grandfather to Devin, Phineas, Thom & Sierra.
The family will be observing Shiva and receiving family & friends Wednesday, June 15, 2016 from 3 PM until Friday, June 17 at Sundown at the residence of Linda McMullen. Interment will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery on Monday, June 20, 2016 promptly at 2:30 PM. Please OMIT flowers. Contributions may be made to Disabled Veterans National Foundation, PO Box 96262, Washington D.C. 20090.

What very fond memories I have of Charlie from our time as co-workers at Diversified Printing in Atglen.  He had a wonderful sense of humor and a chuckle that would make you smile.  So very sorry for your loss.  God bless you through this very difficult time.
