Charles A. Sterling, 84
Charles A. Sterling, 84, of Mountville, PA, passed away on Friday, December 7, 2012 at the Lancaster General Hospital.
He was the husband of Mary Elizabeth (Bryant) Sterling, with whom he celebrated 62 years of marriage this past July 30th. Born in White Plains, NY, he was the son of the late Charles E. and Evelyn McIsaac Sullivan Sterling.
Charles had been a salesman for 50 years with many companies, last working for 20 years with the MGS Company of Ephrata until his retirement.
He was a thinking man, who was very political minded. He was a big Washington Redskins fan but the thing he was most passionate about was his family.
He was a US Navy veteran, serving in the Pacific Theater in World War II.
He was a member of St. Leo The Great Catholic Church.
In addition to his wife, Mary Lee, he is survived by his children: Catherine married to Timothy Darrenkamp of Mountville, Angelo married to Darlene Wikel of Jacksonville, NC, Christina M. married to John Mock of Vero Beach, FL, John W. Sterling of Corydon, IN, Lynn Sterling of Ocala, FL, Alesia Fenninger of Lancaster, and Debra married to Robert DeBarr of Millersville and many loving grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Theresa Grogg and his son, Charles Michael Sterling.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at 11AM from St. Leo The Great Catholic Church, 2427 Marietta Ave., Lancaster, PA 17601.
