Cecelia Stypulkoski, 90
Cecelia Stypulkoski, 90, of Lancaster, died Thursday, March 12, 2009 at her residence. Born in Shickshinny, PA, Cecelia was the daughter of the late Adolf and Constance (Lapinski) Stypulkoski.
Cecelia, with her sister, Rose, owned and operated the Cecelia & Rose Beauty Salon, at 406 E. King St., Lancaster, for 60 years.
A member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, and Legion of Mary at St Anthony’s, Cecelia was a faithful volunteer for many years at the church Christmas Bazaar. She was also a member of the Sister Club, and was a volunteer at St. Anne’s Retirement Community. She enjoyed bowling and playing pinochle.
Cecelia is survived by her sister, Rose M. Stypulkoski, of Lancaster, four nieces, one great niece, four great nephews, two great great nephews, and four great great nieces, and sister-in-law, Anne Stypulkoski. She was preceded in death by brothers, Stanley, Victor, and Joseph, and sister, Phyllis.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, April 14, 2009 at 10 AM from St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 501 E. Orange St., Lancaster, PA with Rev. Daniel Mitzel as Celebrant. The family will receive friends at the church from 9:30 until time of Mass. Private interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Mocanaqua, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Cecelia’s memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home, Inc.
