To Marie’s family:

Wanted to extend my condolences at the passing of your mother and grandmother. I have fond memories of both Marie and Bob during the many years they came to my shop to have their hair cut.

Must also tell you that I visited a very close family friend at Moravian Manor, and was surprised to recognize Marie as a resident in the same wing.  I spoke to her every time I could, always telling her who I was.  She did raise her head and give me a pleasant look.  Having had many relatives affected by this insidious disease, I have always operated on the belief that their understanding is intact; the ability to react/respond, nil.

I know she will be sorely missed.

Sincerely,
Linda Gossman
