Boyd R. Strohecker III, 42

Boyd R. Strohecker III, 42, of Lancaster, died on August 3, 2007 at Harrisburg Hospital. Born in Mechanicsburg, He was the son of Boyd R. and Dawn L. (Carl) Strohecker of Halifax PA.

Mr. Strohecker was self employed, highly respected Antique Dealer. We will celebrate our sons Life the way he lived. He was an Extraordinary man. Boyd had the Courage to fight cancer from a Wilm’s Tumor at age 6 to Pancreatic Cancer at age 34 with a Strength so strong to endure and rise above. And live life, he had a wisdom and Compassion to help others in need and not give up Regardless of their prognosis.  He didn’t, he had Faith God was in Control. Boyd was a Pal for Pancreatic Cancer Patients he talked to so many and gave them hope and told them what he did to live. Honestly Boyd was true to himself and others. He was highly respected for his honesty by all he came in contact with. He had so many Friends. Boyd, our son donated his corneas. He gave the gift of sight that others might see what he loved to see a Life worth Living and Fighting for. Boyd most of all was a Family man who always thought of his Family First. He brought so much Love and Life to our family and will forever be in our hearts. We were so Blessed to have had Boyd as our Son.

Surviving in addition to his parents is a sister, Jacqueline M. Strauser of Halifax, PA.  He was preceded in death by a sister, Kimberly Lee Strohecker.

Services to celebrate his life will be held on Thursday, August 9, 2007 at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral home Inc., 441 North George Street, Millersville, PA 17551, at 10:00AM. Friends may be received from 9AM until the time of service. Interment in Riverview Memorial Gardens, Halifax, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (Pan CAN) 2141 Rosecrans Avenue, Suite 7000, El Segundo, California 90245.
