Bernard G. Grimm, Sr., 88

Bernard G. Grimm, Sr., 88, of Lancaster, died at his residence on Monday, August 27, 2007.  Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Charles G. and Anna E. Ransing Grimm.  He was married to the late Dorothy M. Baumgard Grimm.

Bernard was employed by DeWalt/Black and Decker as an electrician for 46 years, before retiring in August, 1982.

He was a member of St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church.

Bernard was in the civil service during World War II, serving in Bradley Field, CT.

Bernard was past president of St. Anne’s youth activities, and enjoyed birdwatching, and was a manager of the rock and roll band, Vengeance.

Bernard is survived by sons, Theodore G. Grimm of Lancaster, and Bernard G. Grimm, Jr., husband of Linda, of Lancaster.  He was preceded in death by brothers, Joseph A. and Richard Grimm, and sisters, Ava Marie Lewis, and Mary G. Mayer.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral service being held at the graveside at St. Anthony’s Catholic Cemetery on Thursday, August 30, 2007 at 1:30 PM.  Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home, Inc. in charge of arrangements.
