Barbara A. Hemperly

Barbara A. Hemperly passed away Tuesday, November 24, 2015. Born in Lancaster, PA to the late Amos A. and Mary B. Miller, she was the wife of Jere L. Hemperly. She is survived by a son John M. Hemperly and his wife Diane (Frey) a granddaughter Abigail M. and a brother, Amos F. Miller. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Helen and Mary and two brothers, John and Richard.
She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church and a 1955 graduate of J.P. McCaskey High School. Barb was a Bell Telephone operator for 10 years and retired from John Herr’s Grocery store Deli Department.
Private Interment will be held at the convenience of the family. Kindly omit flowers. Memorial remembrances can be made to Parkinson’s Disease Foundation, 1359 Broadway, Suite 1509, New York, NY 10018 or to VisionCorps, 244 N. Queen St, Lancaster, PA 17603.

Dear Uncle Jere, John, and Diane,
We are so sorry to hear of the passing of Aunt Barb!  She was such a kind and compassionate person who raised such a kind and compassionate son.  Although we seldom saw her, we will miss her.  May her peace always be with you and with the lives of all she touched.
