Condolences to the Family

October 24, 2013

Remembering Barbara . . . a woman of courage, strength and unfaltering faith who always had a smile and kind word for everyone she met.  To the Schreck and Butt families I send my deepest condolences and prayers.  To Barbara- Take to the heavens and soar free, my friend, aloft the angel wings you most rightfully earned.  You will be sorely missed by all who knew you.

Aunt Barb fought her cancer with grace and courage, her attitude was why we had her for as long as we did. She never gave up hope. She is a true inspiration, I can only hope that if I should face adversedy as she did I would have half the grace she did. She took care of my Uncle throughout his illness and never complained or felt that his illness was a burden. She loved him and was commited to him in all ways. She embraced being reunited with her husband and family but was profoundly sad to leave her children. She was able to go with her faith that the lord will take of her family until they are all united again with our heavenly Father. I love you Aunt Barb rest in peace.

I went to grade school at St Anthony’s with Barb and then on to Lancaster Catholic. She fought her cancer valiantly! What a beautiful, sweet woman. Prayers and thoughts are with your family at this time.

Your mother was a wonderful woman; and a real trooper with her cancer.  I went to St. Anthony School and LCHS with your mom.  We worked together on our 45th grade school class reunion.  What a sweetheart!  She will be truly missed.  You and the family are in my prayers!

I am so sorry to hear of the death of Barbara.  I remember her  working at Lafayette school years ago as a subsitute teacher where I worked but mostly living in the same neighborhood off Phila. pike. My prayers are with the family at this sad time. God bless!        Paulette(Matters) Roden
