"It may be hard for you to
feel optimistic about the future right now. If you've lost a
spouse, child, family member or friend, you‘ve probably found
that there are not many people who understand the deep hurt
you feel.
That’s the reason for GriefShare, a special seminar and
support group for people grieving the loss of someone close.
This group is sponsored by people who understand what you are
experiencing and want to offer you comfort and encouragement
during this difficult time. Each GriefShare session includes a
video seminar featuring top experts on grief and recovery
subjects. These videos also include on-location settings and
the real-life stories of people who have experienced losses
like yours.
After viewing the video,
you’ll participate in a small group discussion about what
you’ve seen on the tape. You’ll also have the opportunity to
interact with others who have experienced a recent loss, learn
about their experiences and have the opportunity to share your
own.
GriefShare is a
non-denominational group and features biblical teaching on
grief and recovery topics. Please feel welcome to join a group
near you. You'll be glad you did!"
Candlelight
Service
Our "Light a Candle of Love" Service of Remembrance
is held each year in December for all the families we helped
throughout the year. The evening begins with special music,
and is followed by a candlelight memorial service conducted
by area clergy, and concludes with a time of fellowship.
Library
Services
Our funeral home has a complete library that is available
for you and your family. There are books for those children
ages 5 and up to help them cope with the loss and the grief
that they are experiencing. There are books for teens and
adults who are dealing with such topics as anticipatory grief,
miscarriage, suicide, and widowhood. Our collection also includes
videotapes on such similar topics. All of these items are
available to be borrowed on a bi-weekly basis, or may be purchased
to keep.
Resource
Center
At our Lititz Pike location, we offer a complete funeral resource
center, which includes books and tapes, acknowledgment gifts
and cards to purchase.
