 Linda
L. Witmer, 56, of Leola, passed away July 25, 2011 at Hospice of
Lancaster County on Good Drive. She was born in Lancaster to the
late Leon and Verna Petersheim Witmer.
Linda worked
20 years for Kmart in Lancaster. A 1973 graduate of Garden Spot
High School, she was involved in the performing arts program of
GSPA under the direction of Stanley Deen and Francis Paumbo. Linda
was commended for her work in the make-up department and on the
stage. She volunteered at LGH. Linda enjoyed scrap booking and
spending time with her many friends and beloved cat Cookie.
Surviving are
her sisters Carol Arment and Judy Lauble, niece Tammy, nephew
Nicholas, stepmother Anna Witmer and stepsiblings Bonnie, Robert,
Douglas and Dennis Bair. A special thank you to all the staff at
Hospice of Lancaster County for their kindness and loving care
during Linda’s final days.
A Memorial
Service will be held 2 PM Wednesday, July 27, 2011, with Chaplain
Keith Bitner officiating, at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home &
Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA. Please omit flowers.
