 Jeffrey
Kirk Weitzel, 52, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, April 26,
2011, at his home in Holtwood. He would have been married to Penny
L. Shumake Weitzel for 30 years in November. Born in West Grove,
he was the son of Tom Weitzel of Landisville and the late Ann
Caldwell Weitzel.
Jeff graduated
from Oxford High School and worked for various firms as a boiler
engineer and natural gas pipeline inspector. He was a member of
Oxford Lodge #353 F. & A.M. and attended New Providence Baptist
Church. He enjoyed motorcycling, golfing and BBQ’s.
Surviving in
addition to his wife and father are his daughter Ashley, wife of
Christopher Stringer and granddaughter Madison of Holtwood, and
his brother Rodney, husband of Denise Weitzel of Ephrata. Jeff’s
son Jeffrey Ryan “Whitey” died in 2008 and his brother Chris died
in 2009.
A Viewing will
take place 10-11 AM Saturday, April 30th, and the Funeral at 11
AM, with Pastor Ron Rush officiating, at New Providence Baptist
Church, 2411 Beaver Valley Pike, New Providence, PA. Private
Interment. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Jeff’s
memory to Lebanon Rescue Mission, 439 S. 6th St.,
