My deepest sympathies, Jay was a wonderful
second cousin of mine, 7 yrs older, but I have very fond
memories of him, when I went to visit and for overnight visits
with Aunt Edna and Melanie. As you know he is now in the arms
of Jesus and was welcomed at Heavens gate by his daddy, his
Granpa Senenig, Aunt Millie, Uncle Paul and all the other
wonderful family that went on before him. May God comfort you
and your family as you celebrate Jay's life.

Leslie, Edna,and family,
I am saddened to hear of the sudden passing of Jay. We were good
friends in from elementary through high school, when we attended
Salem UM Church in Rothsville. I remember Jay both for his great
sense of humor and his serious dedication to the Lord. When we
were kids, we roared with laughter as we told funny stories,
especially on the way to summer camp or to a baseball game. I
particularly remember the time I stayed overnight during a
thunderstorm. The next morning, we awoke and walked to a
neighboring farm to borrow an Amishman's mule to plow the
garden. We then tied the mule to a metal washline post while we
went inside to eat breakfast. Suddenly, we looked out the window
to see that the stubborn mule had bent the post to the ground
with his strong neck. More seriously, I remember Jay's love for
the Lord. In Sunday School during high school, we always stayed
after class to ask questions of our teacher, Joe Jean-Charles,
who attended Lancaster Bible College. I called Joe, and he was
in a state of shock. Joe sends his love and prayers that you may
find comfort and strength in Jesus. Jay was probably my closest
friend from elementary through high school.
Sincerely,
Danny Gingrich
Dear Leslie and family,
I just saw the announcement in the newspaper regarding the
passing of Jay and I wanted to let you know you have our
condolences. I knew Jay from the Worship Center and small group
Bible studies about 15, 20 years ago. My parents are Richard
and Lorraine Gingrich.
I wish you peace and direction at this time.
