Armella
J. Trimble-Johnson, 73, of Lancaster died peacefully surrounded by
her loving family on Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at Manor Care.
Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Chester and
Armella (Flick) Walter. Armella was the wife of Thomas Johnson of
Bellfonte, PA and the former wife of the late Leroy Trimble.
She worked in
the laundry department at St. Joseph’s Hospital from 1965 to1967.
From 1987 to 1997, she worked as a cashier at K-Mart on Fruitville
Pike. She enjoyed music, dancing and theatre. Her favorite
pastime was bowling in the Zodiac League. She loved spending time
with her family especially her grandchildren.
Armella is
survived by her two daughters: Jennifer L. Davis and Rita A.
Trimble fiancée of Brandon Norwood; five grandchildren: James,
Joseph, Joshua, Jasmine and Avery; two brothers: Robert Walter
husband of Gerry and Chester Walter all of Lancaster. She was
preceded in death by three grandchildren: Michael, Danielle and
Jordan; and two brothers: Raymond and Richard Walter.
A Mass of
Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, September 27, 2011 at 11am
at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 440 St. Joseph Street, Lancaster
17603 with Msgr. Thomas Smith as Celebrant. A viewing will be
held at the church before Mass from 10am to 11am. In lieu of
flowers, memorials can be made in Armella’s name to American
Cancer Society, 314 Good Drive, Lancaster PA 17603. To send an
