Louise Trimble, 82, of Lancaster, passed away Wednesday, March 30,
2011 at Lancaster General Hospital. Born in Lancaster, she was
the daughter of the late Conrad and Mary Houser Wagner.
Louise worked
in the Lancaster sewing factories during WWII. At the suggestion
of a coworker she began writing to her husband, Glen B. Trimble,
who was serving in Europe. They celebrated 64 years of marriage
last November. Later, she worked at John Cope's Corn in East
Petersburg and Rheems. She was a member of St. John Neumann
Catholic Church.
Louise loved
spending time at the family cabin in Huntingdon County. She also
enjoyed reading, crochet, crossword puzzles, playing cards, and
spending time with her grandchildren, whom she loved dearly.
In addition to
her husband, Louise is survived by three children, John, husband
of Carol Powers Trimble, Delaware, OH, Bonita, wife of Gary
Springman, Covington, TX, and Karen, wife of Ron Hummel, Lititz,
PA; five grandchildren, Ben and Luke Trimble, Christina Springman
and Becky and Abby Hummel; and her brother Robert, husband of
Helen Wagner, Lancaster. Her siblings Elizabeth Bowman, Adeline
Gaddis and Conrad Wagner, Jr. preceded Louise in death.
A Funeral
Service will be held 11 AM Tuesday, April 5th at the Charles F.
Snyder Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA.
Viewings will be held at the funeral home on Monday, April 4th
from 6-8 PM, with the recitation of The Holy Rosary at 8 PM, and
again Tuesday from 10-11 AM. Private Interment. Please omit
