 Leroy
Schlotzhauer, 83, of Lancaster, passed away on Monday, November
14, 2011 at the Essa Flory Hospice Center. Born in Lancaster, he
was the son of the late Leroy and Mae (Shotzberger) Schlotzhauer.
Leroy was married for 61 years to his wife, Mary Schlotzhauer.
Leroy retired
after 44 years of service with Armstrong. He enjoyed traveling
and playing Bridge. He was an active member of the Emmanuel
Lutheran Church with the Evangelical Committee.
In addition to
his wife, Mary, Leroy is survived by a daughter, Karen
Schlotzhauer-Vargo; four grandchildren: Michael Schlotzhauer, Nika
Auld, wife of Mark, Taurean Vargo, husband of Christie, and Derek
Vargo; one great-grandchild: Sapphire Vargo. He was preceded in
death by a son, Gary Schlotzhauer; a daughter, Elaine Smith; and a
sister, Jean Arnold.
A memorial
service will be held at 11 AM on Friday, November 18, 2011 at the
Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 540 West Walnut St., Lancaster, PA 17603
with Pastor Kurt Strause officiating. Friends are welcomed to
greet the family from 10-11 AM at church. In lieu of flowers,
