 Patricia
R. "Pat" Sapone, 80, of Lancaster, passed away on Monday, January
31, 2011 surrounded by her family at Hospice of Essa Flory. She
was born in Lancaster and was the daughter of the late Lloyd M.
and Sarah R. (Dommel) Keller.
She is
survived by her husband of 62 years, Nicholas J. Sapone.
Pat was a
longtime member of St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church where
she was the former President of the Woman's Auxiliary, taught CCD
for many years, was on the Rosary Guild, Guys & Dolls Club, helped
with funeral luncheons, and provided foster care for Catholic
Charities.
Pat was a
satellite worker for the luncheon program for the Lancaster School
District.
Surviving in
addition to her husband are two sons, Nicholas J., Jr., husband of
Lyn (Wolff) of Lancaster, James L., of Lancaster, four
grandchildren, Elizabeth, Michael, James, and Nicholas, a brother,
Lloyd E. Keller, of Millersville, and sister, Sara E. Border, wife
of Chester, of IL. She was preceded in death by a son, Vincent J.
and a sister Shirley Haddad.
Mass of
Christian of Burial will be on Friday, February 4, 2011 from St.
Philip the Apostle Catholic Church 2111 Millersville Pk.
Lancaster, PA 17603 at 11am with The Rev. Mark E. Weiss as
Celebrant. Viewings will be held on Thursday from the Charles F.
Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory 441 N. George St. Millersville, PA
17551 from 7-9pm with The Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 8pm and
again on Friday at the church from 10-11am. Final Farewell and
Commendation will be in St. Joseph New Catholic Cemetery. In lieu
of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of
