 Shirley
A. Rineer, 77, of Lancaster, passed away on Thursday, November 24,
2011 at Lancaster General Hospital. Born in Lancaster, she was
the daughter to the late Allan and Katherine (Roehm) Sweigart.
Shirley was the loving wife to the late A. Cleon Rineer.
She was a
homemaker all her life. She really enjoyed cooking, being a
mother and grandmother, and had a soft spot for her pets. Because
of her gift of welcoming hospitality to all, she was known by many
as “Mom Rineer.”
Shirley is
survived by her children: Steven Rineer, husband of Patricia,
Lucinda Bernhardt, wife of Timothy, Dennis Rineer, husband of
Kathy, Scott Rineer, husband of Patricia Spath, and Christopher
Rineer, companion of Cynthia Blymier, and Eric Rineer, husband of
Sonya, all of Lancaster; a grandson she raised as her own: Curtis
Rineer; 6 grandchildren: Adam, Jeremiah, Linda, Joshua, Nathan,
and Hunter; 3 great-grandchildren: Samantha, Madeline, and
Connor. She is preceded in death by 3 sisters and a brother.
A Mass of
Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM at St. Anthony of Padua,
501 East Orange St., Lancaster, PA 17602, with Father Daniel
Mitzel as Celebrant. A viewing will be held from 9-10:30 AM at
the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 414 E. King St.,
Lancaster, PA 17602. Interment will be at Conestoga Memorial
