Mary A. Pollock, 100, died at her Lancaster home on Sunday, October 9, 2011. She was the wife of the late Ernest D. Woomer who died in 1962 and then the late Chester Pollock who died in 1966.

Born in Altoona, she was the daughter of the late Josef and Franziska Winkelbauer Greineder. Mary worked as a housekeeper for Watt & Shand and Bon Ton Department Stores. She was a member of St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church. Mary enjoyed knitting, sewing and gardening and she loved her cat.

Surviving Mary are 3 children, Theresa Greineder and James Greineder, both of Lancaster, and Ann Houck, wife of Marshall Houck of Stewartstown; 6 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 1 great great-grandson; and her sister Margaret Kropf of Lancaster. Five brothers and three sisters preceded Mary in death.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place 11 AM, Thursday, October 13, 2011 at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church, 211 Millersville Pike, Lancaster, PA, with The Rev. Tariq Isaac as Celebrant. A Viewing will take place from 10-11 AM Thursday at the church. Interment in St. Joseph New Catholic Cemetery.
