To Emily's Family, I know Emily in high
school and when she attended Bloomsburg. She was always fun to
be with and also very kind. I am sure you will all miss her
very much.
Best Regards,

Dear Uncle Mike,
Words will never be able to express how we feel about you and
Emily. Our hearts go out to you. We wish we could be there for
you right now, but we will get together another time and
remember the great times. Until then, God bless you and comfort
you.

Dear Mike -
I am so sorry to hear of Emily's passing. She was such a little
ball of energy that always made me laugh. 41 years is a
lifetime please know that my thoughts and prayers are with, her
family and friends.
Much Love,
Heidi
Aunt Emily was the most Alive person in my
life, she was the only person in my life who cared about what
was going on in my life day to day. I talked to her every day
via email and she was actually very upset when we had not talked
in a day or two, her concern for me was actual and without
doubt.
I miss her very much, her wisecracks, her smart comebacks but
most her wisdom. She was the one person in my life who actually
cared about what was going on, what the weather was here, how
the band was doing., anything to talk.
I live my life thinking "what would Emily do" and the answer is
always right, always sane and correct.
I have cried for hours because I miss her so. She was the
strongest woman in my life, the most vibrant soul I have ever
come across, my friend,
I miss Aunt Em dearly, but I know she was the brightest light in
my world, she changed and influenced me more than any other
person in my life and I must carry on thinking "what would Emily
do?", always with love and laughter. I miss her very much, send
the cards my way.

Dear Mike, We are truely sorry for your loss.
Emily's passing has come as a complete shock to all of us here
in Australia. We had some great times together since first
meeting in Florida all of those years ago. You and Emily became
our extended family from the time we first met. There is
nothing we can say to make this time better, but remember we are
always thinking of you. Stay strong and keep well. Nettie, Ed
& James Piekusis - Canberra, Australia.

Emily, Valerie and I only just got to get to
know you and Mike these last few years, but we will never forget
your energy and spirit for life. I wish we had had more time
together, but I will cherish the times we shared. Like my
grandmother of whom you always reminded me so so much (your Aunt
Janette, my Grandma Miller), we all lost you too soon. But
you'll always be with us in our hearts and memories. Your
enthusiasm for life is infectious. We love you always.
Love,

I am in such disbelief in the loss of cousin
Emily. Alays caring, giving, loving and full of life.
Emily's first (and only) Tommy's burger. living in Long Beach CA
and meeting Mike. Escaping Aunt Joyce and Jeanette to grab a
hoagie on a Friday night in Sayre. Sending me home to Phiily
with a gallon of spaghetti sauce. Dinner in Palm Springs. My
nephew's wedding in Baltimore. All ordinary memories made
extraordinary by Emily's amazing spirit which will remain with
me always.
Sending Love and Light to Mike and all the Maurers.

Dearest Mike, words will never be enough to
express how much Emily meant to us, our loving, funny,
compassionate Miss Emily, who was always there when we needed
help, support, love and guidance, especially while trying to
find our way in a new country. Even 11 years after leaving the
US, Aiden still refers to Emily as "his Nanna in America". We
will never forget her infectious zest for life. She truly taught
us that when the going gets tough, the tough get going and I
have to say that our lives were the better for meeting her.
Since learning of Emily's passing, it has been extremely painful
knowing that we have lost such a bright light, someone we truly
loved and will always miss. We know exactly how much the two of
you meant to one another, a rare love, an absolute love and we
know that things have to be very tough for you at this time.
Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.
All our love,
Merideth, Mick, Emma and Aiden (Emily's Aussie kids)
Mike and Family of Emily,
We were so blessed to have known Emily. She was such a caring
woman, so full of life. We enjoyed the times we spent with you
and her at the get togethers at you home. Amanda was very
fortunate to have you, Mike, and Emily in her life. we will miss
Emily.
Sincerely
Dave & Shannon Guigley
Cousin Emily provided the glue that held the
extended Fox side of our family together.
Through the passing years, I have come to better appreciate that
wonderful gift she has provided us. A string of special moments
she carefully crafted and then shared with us all. Moments that
flowered into the warmth of "family" and a gift of "home" she
carefully curated and then passed on to each of us.
Mike and all the Maurer family, my thoughts and blessings are
with you.
Ty
Dear Michael although I never met you or
Merideths' beloved Miss Emily"I felt as if I knew her through
her kindness to my daughter and her family. Knowing her enabled
them to enjoy their time in Florida by feeling that they had an
alternative family while far from home. I can only say that I
feel so sad at her going and can"t imagine the pain you feel. I
am thinking of you at this time.

Mike and the entire Maurer family:
My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this time. I
want you all to know how special Emily was to all of us on this
side of the United States. Emily wrote to her Aunt Jeanette all
of the time and always make special effort to stay in touch and
let us know what was going on in the Maurer family. While
cleaning out Aunt Jeanette's house in California, I ran across
numerous letters and post cards from her and Mike. Aunt Jeanette
never threw out a card or letter it appeared and even when she
was assisted living, she received post cards from Emily. All
wished her well and kept her informed of what she and Mike were
doing and what was happening with her brothers and their lives.
Each one ended with her typical "say hello to my cousins" (Ty,
Mike & Scott Miller). Mom loved Emily and always enjoyed talking
to her and hearing from her and on behalf of the cousins: THANK
YOU EMILY for being there. Emily was the only female in the
family (both Maurer and Miller families had boys) Emily was the
matriarch of the families keeping all of the boys in line. She
was and always will be special to us and you will never know how
much we appreciate her. God Bless you Emily
