Mary E.
(Keller) Kopf, 88, of Lancaster, died Saturday, May 7, 2011 at
Homestead Village. Born
In Lancaster,
PA, she was the daughter of the late Mary Irene and Harry Keller.
Mary was the
wife of the late Charles F. Kopf, Sr. who died in 2005, and of the
late Joseph Fritsch, who died in 1944.
Mary was a
homemaker for most of her life. She was a member of the Rodney
Park Senior Center in Lancaster. She was also a member of the
Mother’s Club, the Golden Hills Club, Legion of Mary, and the
Altar Rosary Society at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Mary was a
member of the Susquehanna Association for the Blind and an avid
Phillies fan.
Mary is
survived by three sons, William M. Kopf of Lancaster, PA, Charles
F. Kopf, husband of Lynn, of Neffsville, PA, and Robert N. Kopf of
Lancaster, PA; four grandchildren, Patty, Billy, Joy, and
Michelle; four great-grandchildren, Sharon, Josephine, Jackeline,
and Savannah; a sister, Jeannine Roberts, wife of Freddie, of
Alabama; and a brother, William Keller of Lancaster, PA. Mary was
preceded in death by a brother, John Keller.
A Mass of
Christian Burial will be held at 11AM on Friday, May 13, 2011 at
St. Joseph Catholic Church, 440 St. Joseph Street, Lancaster, PA
17603 with Rev. Msgr. Thomas Smith as Celebrant. Friends and
family will be received from 10-11AM at the church. Interment at
St. Joseph New Catholic Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers,
contributions can be made in Mary’s memory to St. Joseph Catholic
Church or Susquehanna Association for the Blind, 244 North Queen
