Robert
R. “Bob” Killian, 77, of Lancaster passed away on Tuesday, June
14, 2011 at Lancaster General Hospital. He was born in Lancaster
to the late Richard and Ruth (Kyle) Killian.
Bob is
survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Anne Litwin Killian.
Bob served his
county with the US Navy.
He was a
butcher and owner of the former Stockyard Beef Store on Ross
Street and retired as a salesman with Gibble Chips, Inc. in 2004.
He was a J.P.
McCaskey graduate. Bob was a former member of the local VFW,
Legion, Hubley Club, Rainmakers, Otters, and the Moose Lodge in
Elizabethtown. He enjoyed boating, playing golf, cooking, and was
known by many for his generous nature.
Surviving in
addition to his wife, son, Robert R. Killian, Jr., husband of
Mary, of Windsor, PA, daughter, Tracey Killian, of Akron, two step
daughters, Victoria Lunger, of Renova, PA, Melanie Miller, wife of
Larry, of Lititz, three step sons, Mark Litwin, husband of Cathy,
Lancaster, John Litwin, of Germantown, MD, Gregg Litwin, husband
of Crystal, of Lancaster, numerous grandchildren and
great-grandchildren, and a brother Barry Killian, husband of
Cheryl, of Lancaster. He was preceded in death by a younger
brother, David Killian.
Relatives and
friends are respectfully invited to attend a Memorial Service on
Friday, June 17, 2011 at 2pm at the Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral
Home & Crematory 3110 Lititz Pk. Lititz, PA 17543 with The Rev.
Norman Hohenwarter officiating. A visitation will take place one
hour prior to the service 1-2pm. Interment will be in Riverview
Burial Park with Military Honors rendered by the Red Rose Veterans
Honor Guard. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be
made in Bob’s memory to the American Heart Association 610
