Iona B. Keesey, 92, of Lancaster, passed away on Thursday, November 24, 2011 at Moravian Manor.  Born in Milton Grove, PA, she was the daughter to the late John and Kathryn (Caslow) Brosey.  Iona was the wife of the late Jacob B. Keesey who passed away in 2001.

Iona was a very active member of the Women of the Moose #767.  She was a captain and chairsman who organized and led the Women of the Moose Marching Unit.  They won the Eastern, PA Championship 10 years straight.  She also enjoyed flowers, gardening, crocheting, and crafts.

Surviving is a daughter: Sandra Cummings, wife of Richard, of Lancaster; and a grandson, Patrick John Markert.  She was preceded in death by 3 sisters and 4 brothers.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.  Interment at Riverview Burial Park.  In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Iona’s memory to the American Heart Assoc.
