 Bernedette
“Bernie” F. Flawd, 94, of Lancaster, passed away on Thursday,
December 29, 2011 at the Hospice of Lancaster County, Essa Flory
Center. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late
Robert and Susanna (Carney) Fisher. Bernie was the loving wife of
the late Harry E. Flawd, Sr.
Bernie retired
after 32 years of service at Kerr Glass.
Family
lovingly called her “Nan”.
She is
survived by a daughter: Phyllis McMonigal, wife of Robert, of
Lancaster; 3 grandchildren: Barbara Martin of Coatesville, Thomas
Maurer of Tamaqua, PA, and Rob McMonigal of Mountville; 4
great-grandchildren: Michael and Logan Maurer of Ephrata and
Gabrielle and Alexis McMonigal of Mountville. Bernie was preceded
in death by a granddaughter, Deborah Maurer Palmer; 10 brothers
and 2 sisters.
Services will
be private and at the convenience of the family. Interment will
be at Cedar Lawn Cemetery, Lancaster, PA. In lieu of flowers,
