Gerard R. “Jerry” Eppley, 73, of Lancaster, passed away, Sunday, September 11, 2011. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Robert and Magdalen (Melchoir) Eppley. Jerry was the husband of Frances (Bresch) Eppley with whom he would have celebrated 52 years of marriage this coming October 3^rd.

Jerry was employed by National Bearings as a tool and die maker.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and was an avid Phillies fan.

Surviving in addition to his wife Frances are 4 children: Stephen Eppley, husband of Corinne, of Olney, MD, James Eppley, husband of Susan, of Lebanon, PA, Paula Giannaras, wife of John, of Elkton, MD, and Andrea Campbell, wife of Thomas, of Ephrata, 9 grandchildren: Sarah, Jeremy, Matthew, Mark, Billy, Joey, Katie, John, Mary, and 2 sisters, Loretta “Sue” Mowery and Clare Eppley both of Lancaster.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, September 16, 2011 at 12 noon at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church 501 E. Orange St. Lancaster 17602 with Rev. Daniel Mitzel as Celebrant. Family and friends will be received Thursday, September 15, 2011 at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory 414 E. King St. Lancaster 17602 from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. with the Rosary being recited at 7:45 p.m. Interment will be private at St. Anthony Cemetery.
