Patricia Ann Crawford

Patricia Ann (Ruth) Crawford, 73, of Lancaster, passed away on Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at the Hospice of Lancaster County, Essa Flory Center.  Born on January 3, 1938 in Lancaster, she was the daughter to the late Victor J. Ruth, Sr. and Alice Mae Evilhock.  Patricia was the loving wife of the late Thomas H. Crawford.

Pat attended Lancaster Catholic High School.  After leaving school, she moved to California with her husband.  She resided in California for 35 years before returning to Lancaster.  She worked at CVS on Lititz Pike as a cashier, retiring in 2010.

Pat is survived by her 3 children: Thomas Crawford of Washington, Michael Crawford of Alabama, and Kenny Crawford of California; and 5 grandchildren.  She is also survived by a sister: Judith M. Plank of Lancaster and her brothers: Richard C. Ruth of Alexandria, VA, Brian J. Ruth of Lancaster, PA, and William C. Melchior of Maineville, OH.

She was preceded in death by her eldest brother, Victor J. Ruth, Jr.

Pat lived with her brother Brian for the last 14 years.  Brian was her best friend and devoted caretaker, especially during her 11 months of illness.  She will be missed by all who knew her.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.  Contributions can be made in Pat’s memory to the Water Street Rescue Mission, P.O. To Brian, Pat's brother.  Very sorry to learn of Pat's death.  She was a good friend at Williams' Exxon.  We will miss her.  Apryl Wardrop and Mikey Neil send their condolences as well.  Peace.
