 William
G. Burns, 82, of Lancaster, passed away at Hospice of Lancaster
County, Mount Joy, on Tuesday, November 22, 2011. He celebrated 55
years of marriage with his wife Pauline Nikolich Burns last April
28th.
Born in
Mahanoy City, he was the son of the late Frank and Mary Mertens
Burns.
William worked
as a quality control inspector for Unisys in Lake Success, NY for
45 years before retiring in 1993. He was a member of St. Leo the
Great Catholic Church.
Surviving in
addition to his wife Pauline, is his son William G. Burns, Jr., of
Lancaster and his brother Francis Burns of Charlottesville, VA.
His brother Joseph Burns preceded William in death.
A Mass of
Christian Burial will take place 11 AM Saturday, November 26, 2011
at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church, 2427 Marietta Avenue,
Lancaster, PA, with The Rev. Peter I. Hahn as Celebrant. The
Viewing will be 10-11 AM Saturday at the church. Final
Commendation and Farewell in St. Joseph New Catholic Cemetery. To
