 Martha
Jane Brubaker, 96, of Lititz, passed away on Sunday, January 2,
2011 at Landis Homes in Lititz.
She was the
wife of Roy A. Brubaker, with whom she celebrated 69 years of
marriage this past September 20th. Born in Mount Joy,
she was the daughter of the late J. Clarence and Barbara Frey
Reist. Jane was a 1932 graduate of Elizabethtown College. She had
worked with her husband Roy in the family business, Roy A.
Brubaker Farm Equipment, in Lititz, until 1986.
Jane was a
member of Lititz Mennonite Church. She had served as Treasurer of
Farm Women #1, and had held many leadership roles in 4H and Rural
Youth.
In addition to
her husband, Martha is survived by her 3 sons: Donald R. ( Elaine)
Brubaker of Bluffton, OH, Thomas A. (Kathy) Brubaker of Ann
Arbor, MI, and Leon M. (Carolyn) Brubaker of Leola; 11
grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren; her son-in-law Ethan Lehman
of Kidron, OH, and her sister-in-law IdaBelle Reist of Lititz. She
was preceded in death by her daughter Virginia Lehman and her
brother Warren Reist.
Friends will
be received on Friday January 7, 2011 from 12:00-1:15PM at Lititz
Mennonite Church, 165 Front St., Lititz, PA, with the Funeral
Service to follow at 1:30PM, the Rev. Rodney Martin officiating.
Interment in Strasburg Mennonite Cemetery. Please omit flowers,
