Dear family of Mr Woodley,

By coincidence I read Mr Woodley's obituary.

I was touched by the fact that he served in Europe, was wounded in Belgium, and by bringing this sacrifice helped liberating Europe.

I would like you to understand that, despite criticism from some, many Europeans like me still acknowledge and still are very grateful for all the help we've got from the US, in the form of brave men like the deceased.

I sympathize with your loss.

Mr Timmerman, Netherlands
