Dolores
(Pesta) Wisnosky, 75, of Lancaster, passed away peacefully,
Tuesday, March 16, 2010 after a brief stay at the Village Vista
Nursing Home. Born in Exeter, PA, she was the daughter of the late
Andrew and Verna (Koval) Pesta. Dolores was the wife of Jerome D.
Wisnosky, with whom she celebrated 50 years of marriage this past
July 18.
After
graduating from Misericordia College in 1956, Dolores taught
English and Spanish in Long Island, NY., suburban Philadelphia,
and New Jersey school districts. Throughout her life, she traveled
extensively and especially enjoyed trips to Las Vegas and local
casinos. She was active in numerous volunteer organizations.
Dolores was an avid bridge player and treasured the time spent
with her bridge partners. Her most special times were
celebrations at regular family events. Dolores was a member of
St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church. Dolores' warm, friendly
and outgoing manner will be missed by all who knew her.
Surviving in
addition to her husband Jerome are a son, Jerome Wisnosky of
Lancaster, 3 daughters; Michele Rivard wife of Mark of Florence,
AL, Laura Orlando wife of Dion of Timonium, MD, and JoEllen
Wisnosky of Lancaster , 6 grandchildren, and a brother; Michael
Pesta, husband of Nancy of West Pittson, PA.
A Mass of
Christian Burial will be held Monday, March 22, 2010 at St. Philip
the Apostle Catholic Church 2111 Millersville Pike, Lancaster
17603 at 11:30 a.m. with Rev. Mark E. Weiss as Celebrant. Family
and friends will be received at the church before the service from
10:30a.m.-11:30a.m. Interment will be at Mount Olivet Cemetery at
a later date.

flowers memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Lancaster
