Martha
E. Weber, 96, passed away on August 4, 2010 at St. Anne's
retirement Community. She was the wife of the late Richard J.
Weber who passed in 2000 on their 62nd wedding
anniversary.
Born in
Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Hans and Agnes
Goltsche Lorenz and the sister of the late Walter and the late
Robert Lorenz.
She worked for
Hamilton Watch, RCA, Weber Concrete Construction and retired from
K-Mart in Lancaster after working as a Book Keeper for 11 years.
Martha was a
member of Redeemer Lutheran Church for over 60 years and was
devoted to her family, friends and neighbors. She liked to tell
stories of growing up in the large gray house next to Hammonds's
Pretzel Bakery at 714 South West End Ave, where she lived until
1970.
She is
survived by a daughter, Susanna L. wife of Garry Echterling of
Lancaster, two grandsons: Christopher K. husband of Lisa Duschl
Echterling, of Red Lion, Jon G. husband of Tanya Roden Echterling
of Pequea and four great grandchildren: Benjamin, Alea, Kaylin and
Kyle.
A Funeral
service will be held at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home, 441 N.
George Street, Millersville, Pa on Monday, August 9, 2010 at
11:00AM with Rev. David Kreider officiating. Interment will be
private and held at the convenience of the family. Friends may pay
their respects to the family at the funeral home on Monday from
10-11:00AM. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in
Martha's memory to Hospice of Lancaster County, P.O. Box 4125,
