Marian E. Varner, 81, of 1518 Clearview Ave., Lancaster, passed away on Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at Calvary Fellowship Homes.

She was the wife of the late Robert E.Varner who passed away in 1996. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Paul E. and Ada Erb Mohler.

Marian worked at Hamilton Watch Corporation early in her career.

A Licensed Practical Nurse, Marian was a graduate of the Hoyt School of Nursing. She had been a care giver and nurse at Country Meadows for 4 years and also at the United Zion Home in Lititz. She had also been a rental agent at Cedar Acres and Greenland Village for 7 years.

Marian was a member of the Lancaster Church of the Brethren.

She was a 1946 graduate of JP McCaskey High School. Marian enjoyed puzzles, music, and spending time with her family.

Marian is survived by her sons Rev. Mark S. married to Holly S. Crispell of North East, MD, Eric P. married to Mary Beth Crispell of Brentwood, TN; her daughter Donna Marie Myer of Lancaster, her 2 grandsons, Matt and Dan Myer and 2 granddaughters, Laura and Katie Crispell and by her sister Anna Mary Buggia of Saginaw, MI. She was preceded in death by her sisters Mildred Brown and Helen Tabbott, and by a brother Harold V. Mohler.

Friends are welcomed to attend the visitation on Friday, August 6, 2010 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home, 414 E. King St., Lancaster, PA. Friends will be received again at the funeral home on Saturday, August 7, 2010 from 9-10:00 AM, with the Funeral Service to follow at 10AM, the Rev. Calvin Wenger officiating.
