To Sean's Family,my deepest sympathy.It has
being a great loss for his family and for his extended family,
Pack 93,and also for so many others who in many ways were
touched by Sean :his dedication and kindness.During the last
Camporama I had the opportunity to share some personal life
experiences with Sean related to the Boy Scouts while we were
observing the cub scouts learn about the flag.Even I just met
Sean this year,I was very impressed by his attention and
dedication to every member of the pack and it was also a
privilege for me to meet him.My prayers to all of you.
Néstor Gómez (Elijah's grandfather).
Connor,
We are all thinking about you and your family. We have been busy
making cards to send to you. We had a group hug for you today,

Dear Kim and family,
I am so sorry to hear of your great loss. Sean truly was a great
man, that I got to know for the last year or so. It has saddened
me to have lost a wonderful person, who was so dedicated to our
cub scouts in Pack 93. My heart goes out to you and your family
and all of his friends that knew him. May God bless you and
your family and I am praying for you all. From the bottom of my
heart, we will truly miss him.
May he rest in peace and be glorified in his love, in Jesus's
name
With all our love,

Dear Kim, Connor and Christian,

Hi Kim, Christian & Connor:
Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers as you walk
through this world that has turned upside down on you. While
there are no answers that help right now, nor any quick healings
that will work, you have an army of friends and companions
surrounding you with our love and prayer. Here is one of my
favorite poems that speaks a word of hope to me when I am on a
path filled with grief.
Love that is will always be,
Even though there is a sea,
Parting life and love and all,
For in the end, the sea is small.
And all that is to be, will be;
And all that is to see, we'll see;
And all the road that we do trod,
Will be the paths that lead to God.
----P. Buckley Moss
May the dark path you walk now, lead to the light of Christ and
the healing and hope God will provide in time.
God's Peace ~~ Pastor Ross
Dear Kim, Christian, and Connor,
We are thinking of all of you. Sean was a wonderful father,
husband, and friend to many. Know that you have our support and

Ryen and I were and are simply
devastated at how profound a loss we're feeling right now, but
at the same time so honored and lucky to have had so many great
years and experiences loving and living life with Sean Strine as
our friend. Our thoughts and prayers to Kim, Christian, Connor,
and the entire family.
Dear Kim, Christian, and Connor,
Our hearts are breaking and we can't put into words how deeply
saddened we are. Sean was such a special man. He touched the
lives of so many, including ours. What a wonderful summer we
had at Camp Mack and rafting in Ohiopyle with you. The
investment Sean made in our children through Cub Scouts is a
lasting treasure.
You and the boys are in our prayers and we are constantly asking
the Lord uphold you and give you peace and strength. We love
you and are here for you.

Kim,
I wish I knew the right words to comfort you and your family
through this difficult time. I'm just so sorry. I'll always
appreciate how Sean made sure he was there for you and the boys
when it came to school and your lives in general. The bond the
four of you had was so pure and strong. Your family truly
defined what a family should be - loving and supportive of one
another and always together. My thoughts and prayers are with
you and the boys as you mourn the loss of Sean. If I can be of
any assistance for you or the boys, please don't hesitate to
ask. I'm here for you.
Tom
Christian,
I'm so sorry about your father. He was an amazing role model,
and I can already see that you carry many of his wonderful
qualities. A lot of who you are is because of the great things
your dad did for you. I know that everything you continue to do
in your life will make him so proud as he watches over you. I
understand that this is a very difficult time for you and the
class and I are thinking of you. We talked about how you must
be feeling right now and are ready to support you however we can
when you come back to school. I know some days will be better
than others, so don't be afraid to let me know how you're
feeling and we will help to comfort you as best as we can. I
have a great big hug waiting for you when I see you.
Mr. Saurer
Connor,
I know we don't know each other very well, but I do know that we
see each other often in school. You're a wonderful boy, always
patient and making good choices when I see you. I'm very sorry
to hear about your dad. He was an amazing person who did so
many great things. I'm sure you already miss him a lot. I know
that this may not make how you feel any better, but I know that
your dad will still be there for you, watching over you to make
sure you stay safe and strong. I'm thinking of you and know
Mrs. Swords and your classmates are too.
Mr. Saurer
Kim, Connor and Christian,
Your husband and father was a good man and I know he loved and
still loves you all very much. I am in pain over this loss. Sean
introduced himself to me when we were in Middle School. He
would invite me to take a walk and talk with him during recess
on the playground when we were about 12 years old. I was shy and
it was a new school for me and I felt alone. Sean was so
outgoing and caring that he saw that I was alone and became my
friend. He helped me to feel better and to learn how to reach
out to others and be a friend. We talked only a few short weeks
ago because my mom passed away in October. I enjoyed our talk
and he called me because he wanted to know how I was doing. I
will miss him.
I enjoyed his laugh, his sense of humor and he made Middle and
High School so much more enjoyable because of who he was. He
was much smarter than I was and he helped me get through
Calculus. He would look at the equation and come up with the
answer in a few minutes. As I struggled to figure it all out,
he said, "Stop trying to figure out why it works. It just does.
Plug in the numbers and move on to the next one."
As I cry with all of you, his words still help me today. I
cannot understand why this has all happened to all of you, but I
know it will somehow work out in the end. He is right now in
the presence of Our Savior where my mom is and they are waiting
for us. He is very much alive and we will see him again.
I will pray for strength for the hard journey ahead. Connor and
Christian: Your dad was very proud of you both and he always
told me how good you both are. He always wanted to be a dad and
he was so happy that you are his sons. You have a lot of people
who care about you very much. He was like a brother that I never
had.
I am sorry I cannot be there during this time, but we will be
remembering all of you in our thoughts and prayers from Texas.
God bless,
Matt Hebbard
Kim, Connor, and Christian,
How wonderfully blessed you were to have such a wonderful man in
your lives. The dedication and spirit he showed to the boys of
Pack 93 must have been just a fraction of the love he had for
his family. We know you will miss him terribly as will all the
Cub Scouts. It was a truly an honor to have such a brilliant
man touch our son Sean's life. He will be missed.
Our deepest condolences,

Dear Strine Family of All
Generations,
We are so very sorry to learn about your tragic loss of Sean.
From the early years of our overseas trips when we often spoke
often about the activities of our then young children, the
exemplary accomplishments and warm personality of Sean stood
out from the rest. He was a great accomplishment himself, the
product of wonderful home. At this extremely sad time, we hope
that Maryann, Harry, and Neil will all take some comfort in that
knowledge. To Kimberly and children, many of us in Bloomsburg,
especially those from our trips, will help in any way we can if
you need us. Your family has always been our family, too.
God Bless
You.
Jan and Floyd

This morning when I read the paper, I was
shocked and so terribly saddened to read of Sean's death. I
can't even begin to imagine what you are going through. I still
remember Sean as a high school student. Kimberly and Sean
always competing to see who could get the highest grade on a
math test. It was the only subject in which she could compete
with him. What a loss to the world and your family. My
deepest, most heartfelt sympathy.

All of us in marketing were lucky
to have an opportunity to work with Sean. He was smart but not
arrogant, he compromised but had a backbone when needed, he was
a teacher but was always patient, and he was always a
collaborator for the greater good. Everyone enjoyed working
with Sean. His dedication to improving our business and passion
for helping others is his legacy. We will miss Sean as a
colleague and a friend. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his

Kim, Connor, and Christian,
We were so saddened to learn of Sean's passing. In the past few
years of cub scouting he was a great leader and inspiration to
Zachary, and Dan and I enjoyed the time spent with him at all
cub scout functions and chatting at baseball games. I will never
forget him offering to take responsibility for Zachary at Camp
Mack when Dan injured his arm and was not able to go. He was
proof that there are still good guys out there and God took one
of the best when he took him. Our thoughts and prayers go out
to you and your family.
With heartfelt sympathy,

I wanted to let you know how very sorry I am to hear about
Sean. I cannot imagine how difficult this time is for you and

Dear Kim,
Although we don't know each other well and I'd never met your
husband, I see you and your family at school activities,
athletic competitions, and living life around town. We have
children in the same classes and activities, we're the same age
and now living in the same neighborhood so I feel like I know
you much better than I do. Because of this my heart aches for
you and your boys. MacGregor's heart is breaking too and he
wants so badly to be able to take some of the pain away from his
friend Christian but doesn't know how. I'm not sure any of us
can take that pain away or fill that completely empty space
inside you right now, but I do hope that you know that there are
many people out there praying for your comfort and willing to
support you in any way you need. May God be with you at this
very difficult time.
Sincerely,

I was triply blessed to have known Sean as a co-worker at
Armstrong, as a church member at St. Peters, and as a fellow

To say I am shocked would be a gross understatement; I'm certain
you are numbed as well.

previous commitments to be in New York with family this weekend
and will be unable to attend the funeral.
May God bless and be with each of you in this time of sorrow.

Kim, Christian, and Connor,
Where to begin about Sean? I first met him at his home during
one of the many birthday parties had for Neil while we were
growing up. Neil was in the same class as my brothers and me in
elementary school. As the years went by from childhood through
to adulthood, Sean always made life at each level more fun when
he was around. I was just telling Marty that I don't recall a
time when I saw him when he was not smiling and having a good
time - the life of the party. He was just fun to be around.
I've also known a lot of nice people and have many good friends,
but I can honestly say that I've never met anyone nicer. He was
always thoughtful and asked about us before talking about
himself. I remember one time in particular: During high
school, I decided to get a flat-top haircut like Sean and Matt
Hebbard had. Although it was quite a shock to me and I recall a
few negative comments, Sean went out of his way to say how good
it looked (even though I'm not sure even he believed it).
That's just the way he was. He approached life with a fearless
optimism. I remember camping at the cabin, hiking across hot
civil war battlefields, hanging out at a Penn State game, and
attending his wedding. Each event is another memory I will
carry with me. And he doted on his children in a way that
showed how much they meant to him.
The last time I saw him was at Carl's 40th birthday party in
March. Although we only spoke for a few minutes in total, no
one was more fun to be around or told funnier stories, or was
having more fun himself.
Christian and Connor, I hope that someday you are able to take
all of these memories of your Dad to give you comfort and to
know that he loved you so very much. Kim, our prayers are with
you. Life sure seems unfair at times, but it would have been a
whole lot darker place without people like Sean in it in the
first place. God bless you.
Sorry we couldn't be there in person.
Josh, Marty and Caroline Harvey (Okinawa, Japan)
I had the pleasure of working with Sean and
enjoyed his positive enthusiasm and his continuous desire to
make improvements at Armstrong. My thoughts and prayers are
with Sean's family.

Dear Kim and family,
I may be far from Pennsylvania right now, but your loss has
touched me deeply. Sean sounded like an outstanding husband and
father. I really wish I could have known him.
You are in my thoughts.
Rama Botlagudur Eriksson
Kim,
When I heard the news of Sean's passing my heart ached for you
and your boys. Although time has passed and we have been out of
touch for some time, the memories of you and Sean are some of my
fondest from PSU. Being able to know you two separately, then as
a couple was a true privilege to watch...you two are truly
soulmates. I cannot try to comprehend the pain of loss you are
feeling right now and as a parent to fathom how your boys are
going to cope without their father seems unbearable but know
that as time passes things will become easier and you have a
huge support system around you that will help you through your
darkest moments. Sean was one of a kind, a man with the
intelligence of a genius, the humor of a comedian and more
importantly had the love in his heart for you and your boys that
was beyond words.
My deepest sympathies go out to you, your children and your
entire family.
Cari (Ammon) Zeleznock
Kim,
We are heartbroken over your loss. We will miss talking to Sean
and we will miss his friendship. Sean was such a kind man to
the boys in cub scouts and Patrick and Ryan are sad and will
miss him. God has secured another angel. Please remember that
you and the boys are in our thoughts and prayers and we hope to
be there for you if and when you need us.
Beth and Jim McGlynn
Dear Kim, Christian and Connor, Our deepest
sympathies go out to you. Although we only knew Sean for such a
short time through Pack 93, he made quite an impression on our
family. We are new to the area, and had heard what an
incredible leader and role model Sean Strine was. We couldn't
agree more. He went out of his way to make us feel welcome and
included. We feel privileged to have known him. Please know
that you are all in our thoughts and prayers.
Sincerely,
Mark, Tammy, Mitchell and Graham Calhoun
Kim, Connor and Christian,
My thoughts and prayers are with you and the extended families.
Sean was a great guy and a good friend, always laughing and most
importantly, making others laugh! I will always remember him
full of life. He will be missed.
Donny Lombardi
Dear Kim, Christian and Connor,
While no words can take away your grief, know that you are
surrounded with love. We are here for you in whatever you need.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
Cindy, Eric, Bryce and Lauren Katch
Kim, Christian, and Connor,
Words can not express the sadness we feel for you and the whole
Penn State family. Sean will be truly missed. We have great
memories of him that will always make us smile and laugh. Our
hearts, thoughts, and prayers are with you and the boys.
Dave, Hindi, Ashley, & Ethan Burkett
Kim, Christian and Connor,
We would like to extend our condolences to you. In the short
time we knew your family, we saw Sean as a really great Dad and
loving husband. We know that he will really be missed. We will
keep you all in our thoughts and prayers.
Barb and Jim Perry
Dear Kim, Connor and Christian,
We were all so saddened to hear of the loss of Sean. He has
touched so many lives, in so many different ways. For us, it was
our children. We knew Sean through Pack 93 and at the Cub Scout
Den meetings. He had so many admirable qualities. He was always
so well prepared, and committed in anything he did. At the
Camporama this past October, Sean was always so patient, helpful
and attentive with his sons, as well as to all the scouts,
parents and their siblings. He will be missed.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family.
Tom, Cheryl, Nicollette and Jared Sage
To Kim,
I have never met you. I'm a member at the Rec Center and heard
of what happened on Tuesday night. I have not been able to get
you all out of my mind and heart. Even as I type this, I am
overwhelmed with emotion for you and your sons. I simply cannot
imagine the heartache.
It is clear that you are surrounded with much love and faith,
which will be what sustains you on this dark journey. Please
know that, though I am a complete stranger, I have been praying
for you from the moment I heard what happened on Tuesday night.
I wake up in the night and pray. I wake in the morning and
pray. Throughout the day your family comes to my mind, and I
pray. God has placed such a burden on my heart for your family
this week.
Maybe it is because I lost my father when I was young. I saw
what my mom went through. It's certainly not supposed to be this
way. If I could offer any encouragement, it would be this ...
children really ARE resilient. Your boys, though they will be
forever different due to this experience, they WILL be okay. In
fact, I know that for my sister and myself, we because stronger
because of the trials we faced while young. They will go on to
be wonderful, successful, kind, and generous people ... just
like their father clearly was.
I would say to take it "one day at a time," but I am painfully
aware that sometimes that seems like too much. One moment ...
one breath ... at a time.
May God's presence be more real to you than ever before.
"He defends the cause of the fatherless and widows ..." (Deut
10:18a)
Blessings,
Shannon P.
To the Strine family,
It's been a long time since summer camp, backpacking, and canoe
trips with Harry, Neil, and Sean, and I still remember them
fondly. It seems that Sean carried himself throughout his life
the way I remember him from 20+ years ago. If his sons grow up
to be like the guy I remember and the man I have been reading
about, they will be very well off in life.
I pray that God will give you strength, comfort, and peace.
Bruce & Sandi Stoker
Kim, Connor and Christian,
We are very sad to hear of Sean's unexpected passing. It was a
shock and I cannot imagine how you are feeling. I hope the boys
know that Sean was well liked and was a natural leader. We will
all miss him. Please know we are all thinking of you and you
are in our prayers.
John Stoner
Kim -
We at Armstrong are all so saddened by this loss. I am thinking
of you and the boys.

Kim, Connor, Christian and family,
I was deeply upset to hear that Sean died. I worked with him at
Armstrong for many years and he was a great friend. He was one
of a kind and everyone will miss his fun loving personality and
uniuqe charm. Like many others, I am a better person having
known Sean. Connor and Christian, please know that your Dad was
one of the best and you would do well to grow up and be just
like him. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
May God bless you all in this difficult time and may God bless
Sean.
Jeffrey M. Farabaugh & Family
Kim, Connor and Christian,
We had the pleasure of knowing Sean through cub scouts. He was
very patient and helpful with Jason and I as we prepared for our
first den meeting. He was extremely giving of his time to Pack
93 and he will be greatly missed. I have read all the kind
words that people have written here as well as on facebook. The
world has lost a truly great man. All of you will be in our
thoughts everyday and we will be here if you ever need anything.
Jason, Stacey, Alex and Ben Edis
Dear Kim,
We are so very sorry for your loss. We enjoyed getting to know
you, Sean and the boys on the camping trip this summer.
We pray that happy memories, the love of family and friends and
God's grace will help you and the boys through this difficult
time and beyond.

Kim, Connor, Christian and family,
Words cannot express our deepest sympathies for all you right
now. Please know that Sean will always be remembered as a very
giving and special person. Nick will always hold dear the big
smile Sean gave him as he handed him his award at Boy Scouts.
Our prayers are with all of you now.
Gary, Deb, Amanda and Nick Feddock
Dear Strine Family,
Words cannot express how shocked and saddened I am to hear of
Seans passing. I thoroughly enjoyed working with Sean at
Armstrong. He was extremely professional, bright, and always
asked great, tough questions. He had a quiet, calm,
approachable way about him and always saw the best in everyone.
I learned a lot from Sean! He talked frequently about his family
and clearly loved you all SO much! My thoughts and prayers are
with you.
Very Sincerely,
Laurie Israel-Cubell
Our deepest condolences ! Sean was a wonderful
person, who as a scout master was dedicated to make a positive
impact in life of many boys including our son. We will miss him
a lot. Your family is in our thoughts and prayers.
Mittal family (Gaurav, Anjan, Preeti and Sneha)
Kim, Christian, and Conner,
We are so saddened by your loss. Know that you all are in our
thoughts and prayers and there is so much love that surrounds
you. We are here for you.
Love,
The Bowe Family
We can hardly find the words to express our
sorrow at such a loss. We pray that the support of your family
and friends and your wonderful memories of Sean can help you
during the days ahead.
We will keep your family in our prayers and thoughts.
Bob and Barbara Sorg
We at Cub Scout Pack #4 of Lancaster City wish
to express our deepest sympathies to the family of Sean Strine.
He had a great impact on the lives of many young boys in his
role of cubmaster. All of us in Scouting share your loss.
In Scouting,
Christine Yost, Cubmaster
I had to write something. Sean was a great
person and had an incredible spirit. During his time in the
Blue Band, Sean was never too busy or focused on playing his sax
to wish two nervous Feature Twirlers - Lori (Branley) Fisher and
myself good luck before taking the field for pregame or
halftime.
He will be so missed. My prayers and warm thoughts for God's
Graces to the Strine Family.
Always for the Glory,
John Mitchell
Our thoughts and prayers are with you during
this difficult time.

Dear Kim,
Please accept my condolences and sympathies on the unexpected
passing of Sean. As you and your family deal with this difficult
time, you should know Sean was a valuable contributor to
Armstrong's ceilings business. Over the last 5 years he made
significant contributions to all of Armstrong's Plants. Sean was
truly valued by everyone he worked with in ABP. He will be
greatly missed. Please let me know if there is anything I or
the company can do for you. My prayers are with you and your
family.
Sincerely,
Matt Cook
May you find peace during this time of
transition. I went to high school with Sean and although many
years have passed and I have not known him since then in detail,
I wish to send my deepest sympathies and support for healing to
you and your family as I know you have lost a very outstanding
person. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
Respectfully,
Kate Bazis
Kim, Connor, and Christian,
My deepest sympathies to you and your families. I trust
that your faith will serve you well during these difficult
times.
Neil Snyder
Kim,
My sincerest heartfelt condolences. Sean was always the life of
the party and will be sorely missed. It's impossible to think
back to our time in the Blue Band and not think of Sean's energy
and the joy he brought to the entire band. May God bless you
and keep you and provide the love and guidance needed in raising
your two wonderful sons.
Matt ("Buick") Kozsuch
Kim, Christian, and Connor--
We just returned from vacation and read the unbelievable news of
Sean's passing. We are brokenhearted for you and can only
imagine what a sad, difficult time this is. We never really had
the opportunity to get to know Sean but after reading all the
condolences, it's clear that we missed out on knowing a smart,
talented, caring, wonderful man. It is no wonder that God
wanted to be with him in Heaven.
I'm sorry we were unable to be there to support you on Saturday,
but please know that if there's anything we can do to help you
in these coming months, we'll be there for you. You are in our
thoughts and prayers.
With love and sympathy,
The Courtois Family
Kim, Christian and Connor -
Please know that you and all of Sean's family are in our
constant thoughts and prayers. We did not know Sean well, but
we have a respect and admiration for the kind of man he was by
seeing the love that he shared with his family, his church and
his community.
The Beauregard family
Mary Ann, I was so saddened to hear of the
death of your son. This is certainly every parents worst
nightmare. They are to bury us, not the other way around. I am
so sorry for your sorrow.
Wanda Steffen Cattalo
Although I have never met you, I truly can
feel your pain. Our son, at age 34, died almost two years ago
of a sudden heart attack, leaving behind a wife and two small
children. There are no words, there is no map, that can lead
you. There are, however, a few moments of comfort during this
time. I was comforted by my grandchildren, carrying a legacy of
love into their future. I was comforted by the fact that,
however short, my son was able to live a rich and rewarding
life. In the still moments, after some time has passed, you
will feel his spirit guide and comfort you, and you will know
how very lucky you were to have been part of his life.
Mary Shreiner
Kim, Connor and Christian,
I am very saddened to hear of the loss of such a dynamic and
caring man as Sean. I as well as many others leaving their
condolences went to secondary school with Sean. The words that
describe the friendship we had with him at that time, dwarf the
feelings of those which you have of a husband, father and
friend. Sean was always a sharp, good humored and hearted
person during our school years. At an age when most people are
figuring out who they are and what they desire to do in life,
Sean seemed to always know. Much of that certainty came from
the wonderful family he had growing up, who provided the same
love and support that Sean has shown to his own family. There
was not never a time while knowing Sean, that he waivered from
his beliefs of right and wrong. These qualities as well as the
love he has for you, are what I hope will be the source of
current and future strength for all that are mourning the loss
of such a great man. The greater source of strength for all who
are grieving the loss of such a great friend comes in knowing
that the spirit of our beloved friend is in the company of our
Lord. There is great peace and strength in knowing that.
Nick Telesky
Kim, you and your boys have been in my
thoughts and prayers and will continue to be as time passes. I
feel lucky to have known Sean, to have laughed at his jokes, to
have been considered his friend. He was one of a kind. If
there's anything that I can do for you or Christian or Conner
from afar, please let me know.
