Dawn, Erin, and Samantha,
I know that you probably do not know me, but I have known Rudi from the beginning of his time in Shiremanstown.  His brother Steve and I go back over 50 years.  There are many, many stories that I could relate....some good, some not so good, but none the less, they are all a part of my wonderful memories.  Rudy has always had such enthusiasm about things and charged straight ahead...which always made things interesting.  The last time I saw Rudi was at his mother's memorial service, and I am glad that I had one last time talk to him...and he was truely glad to see me as well as I was to see him.  He was a such a interesting person and had probably the best spirit of anyone I have ever known.  I know that I will see him in eternity, and would not be surprised if he isn't waiting there to shake my hand and welcome me in.  I feel that I am a lucky person by having my life touched by his his.  Know that I will surely miss him and that my thoughts and prayers are with you during this time of grief.
My sincere condolences,
Butch Morgret

So sorry for your loss. Your family is in our prayers.

I knew Rudi as a child while at Shiremanstown elementary school and St John's Lutheran Church.  I remember him fondly, as a "big boy" who was always kind to me, and who was so full of life and fun.  I still remember a bicycle race one day, where I went faster than ever before, and was even winning for a bit (thank you, Rudi, for letting me be in the lead).  When I picture Rudi I see the smiling, dark-eyed boy who I looked up to.  Please know that your family is in my family's thoughts and prayers.

I am sorry to hear of Rudi's death.  He was a good friend.  My deepest sympathy to you and I pray God's blessings for you.

Peace,
