 Lorraine
E. Sheldon, 73, of Salunga and formerly of Lancaster, passed away
on Tuesday, February 2, 2010 at her residence.
She was the
wife of the late Gregory J. Sheldon, who passed away in 2001. Born
in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Harry J., Sr. and
Lorraine Wright Bailey.
Lorraine had
been a homemaker and was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic
Church.
She had worked
for many years at the former Numbers and News on E. King St.
Lorraine
enjoyed shopping, spending time with her family, and loved her
dog, Daisy.
She is
survived by 3 daughters: Cynthia M. Dills of Salunga, Brenda J.
married to Robert M. Fickes of Salunga, and Suzette L. Lehman of
Lancaster; 7 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren. She is
also survived by 2 brothers John F. married to Loretta Bailey of
Willow Street and James W. Bailey of Lancaster and her sister,
Dolores married to Larry Rubenstein of Bellvue, NE. She was
preceded in death by her brother, Harry J. Bailey Jr.
Friends will
be received on Thursday, February 4, 2010 from 7-9PM at the
Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home, 414 E. King Lancaster, PA, and
again on Friday, February 5, 2010 at the funeral home from
930-1030AM. The Mass of Christian Burial will follow on Friday at
11AM at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 501 E. Orange St.,
Lancaster, PA with the Rev. Daniel Mitzel as Celebrant. Interment
