 Helen
M. Shaub, 85, formerly of Stevens Ave. in Lancaster, passed away
on Friday, July 23, 2010 at St. Anne's Retirement Community.
She was the
wife of the late Paul S. Shaub, who passed away in 2004. Born in
Schuylkill County, she was the daughter of the late Dominic and
Letizia Ghirardini Mattes.
Helen had
worked for Armstrong and Kerr Glass for 37 years.
She was of the
Catholic faith, and enjoyed her life with her family, friends and
neighbors. She also liked to play bingo.
Helen is
survived by her daughters Helen married to Aaron Darnell of
Martinsburg, WV, Paula married to Wayne Bingeman of Lititz; her
son Scott A. Shaub; her stepdaughter Frances J. Shaub of Texas and
her stepson Paul S. Shaub of Lancaster County. She is also
survived by her 3 grandchildren David and Daria Darnell and
Matthew Farese; her great granddaughter Hana Kaleena Darnell ,her
step grandson Brock Bingeman, her sisters Elizabeth Flaim and
Josephine Gromalski and her brother Joseph Mattes. She was
preceded in death by her siblings Benjamin, Esther, Emilio,
Daniel, Mary, and John.
Friends are
invited to attend the Memorial Mass from the Chapel at St. Anne's
Retirement Community, 3952 Columbia Ave., Columbia, PA 17512 on
Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at 11AM. In lieu of flowers, please make
contributions in Helens' memory to St. Anne's Retirement
