F. Austen Seward, 84 of Lancaster, Pa
died at Lancaster General Hospital on Saturday, July 3, 2010. Born
in the Malbourough, England, he was the son of the late Frederick
and Clara Austen Seward.
Austen was married 23 years to Nella
Caponi Seward.
He was a professional Mechanical
Engineer for the University of Pennsylvania and various other
companies during his working career.
He served in World War II in the Army
and then enlisted in the Navy.
Austen will always be remembered and
missed as a true "Man from Camelot," a gentleman and scholar.
Surviving besides his wife Nella is
his former wife, Dolores Seward, Elizabethtown, three children:
Mary wife of John Haldeman, Manheim, John husband of Mary Seward,
Brownstown, David Seward, Elizabethtown.
Surviving are two stepdaughters: Lyza
wife of William Valenzo, Lancaster, Lora wife of Gregory Furman,
Chadds Ford and two grandchildren: Joseph and Bryer Valenzo.
A Memorial Service will be held at the
Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home and Chapel, 3110 Lititz Pike,
Lititz PA on Thursday, July 8, 2010 at 11:00AM with Rev. Michael
Messner officiating. Interment will be at Indiantown Gap National
Cemetery on Friday, July 9, 2010 at 10:00AM. Friends may pay their
respects to the family at the funeral home on Thursday from
10-11:00AM. Please omit flowers. Contributions may be made in
